The mission of the Fund for Horses is to promote the health, safety and welfare of horses both domestic and in the wild.
The Fund for Horses is firmly committed to fulfilling our Mission by lawful and peaceful means. Therefore we will neither knowingly nor willingly participate in, or incite others to participate in, any unlawful or unpeaceful activities.
History shows that the equine has been a vital contributor in the expansion and development of civilized cultures around the world.
Because of that they have been bred, used, lived and died to suit our purposes.
Horses are not a commodity, but sentient beings with a high degree of physical, emotional and spiritual sensitivity.
Horses do not belong to us. They are our fellow citizens. If we are going to use them to suit our purposes simply because we can — and because they allow it — it is our responsibility to protect them and fulfill their basic wants and needs at the very least.
To inflict pain, suffering and anguish in any way, shape for form on our horses is immoral and a gross betrayal of all they have done for mankind.
